About

I am Hayato M. Yamanouchi. In the Kamikouchi Laboratory at Nagoya University, I study the neural mechanisms that control copulation behavior in Drosophila melanogaster, and I develop systems for analyzing and intervening in behavior in real time. Alongside my research, I keep up a range of outreach activities: on podcasts I go by “Yama-san,” and on my blog I write under the name “Kenkyujo Tsukuttaro!” Whichever name you may have come across, it is the same person.
